Features

Fast, high-volume output. The bizhub PRO C5501 production color printer offers 55 ppm print output in both color and B&W lets you deliver short-run color printing more profitably -- with a work horse monthly duty cycle of up to 250,000 pages.

Spectacular high-definition color images. Simitri® HD Color Polymerized Toner utilizes smoother ultra-small granules to sharpen text, enhance fine detail, and reproduce a wider color gamut with rich tones that resist fading for excellent long-term quality.

Precise registration adjustment. Front and reverse sides are precisely matched to insure accurate alignment within 1mm for booklets or other duplex multi-page documents.

Heavy and coated stock. The bizhub PRO Production Color Printer Series handles heavy and coated paper stock -- up to 300 gm2, with full duplex capability up to 256 gm2.

Full-bleed 12" x 18" printing. Print on paper sizes up to 13.6" x 19.2", to reproduce full-bleed 12" x 18" color originals while preserving crop marks and borders.

Maximum 4,250-sheet capacity. High paper capacity with optional paper trays helps reduce your labor cost by printing long runs with unattended operation.

Add paper and change toner on the fly. The bizhub C5501 production color printer lets you add paper without interrupting your work -- and replenish toner on the fly with a clean, simple exchange of toner bottles.

Powerful finishing options. The FS-520 Staple Finisher provides sorting, grouping and 50-sheet multi-position stapling with staple cutting function for varying staple length; the FS-607 Booklet Finisher enables you to produce folded and stitched booklets up to 80 pages (20 sheets).

Three image controller options. The Konica Minolta bizhub C5501 production color printer offers an embedded Fiery® IC-408 Image Controller that drives entry-level configurations at full rated speed, with a simple interface for print/scan productivity; the external Fiery® IC-305 Image Controller gives you advanced software tools for color matching, print queue management and make-ready, while the external Creo® IC-304 Image Controller provides an extensive feature set for superior color, higher output and greater value in professional graphic arts applications.

  • DF-609 Reversing Auto Document Feeder: 100-sheet capacity, handles up to 11" x 17" originals and up to 110 lb. index stock.

  • OC-506 Platen Cover: For production color printer configurations when the Auto Document Feeder is not in use.

  • LU-202 Paper Feed Unit: Raises maximum paper capacity to 4,250 sheets.

  • FS-520 Staple Finisher: Groups, sorts and staples up to 50 sheets, with 3,000-sheet output capacity.

  • FS-607 Booklet Finisher: Small-footprint finisher that staples up to 50 sheets, lets you create saddle-stitched booklets of up to 80 pages (20 sheets), and offers tri-fold and half-fold capability.

  • PK-512 Punch Kit (for FS-607): Provides selectable 2-hole and 3-hole punching.

  • PI-502 Post Inserter (for FS-607): Enables users to add pre-printed covers to documents post-process; also provides offline folding, stapling and hole-punching.

  • IC-408 Internal Fiery® Image Controller: A compact yet powerful controller that supports full rated speed of 65 ppm and allows users to print and scan in smaller "entry-level" C5501 configurations.

  • IC-305 External Fiery® Image Controller: Improves performance through Fiery® SmartRIP technology and features new, intuitive icon-driven print drivers customizable to meet the needs of any user. Features include enhanced color management, Fiery® system8/8e, enhanced security and document assembly capabilities.

  • IC-304 External Creo® Image Controller: Delivers truly spectacular color printing results, with superior default color settings and advanced management capabilities like color calibration, last-minute color corrections, spot-color editing, and gradation corrections without re-RIPing the entire file.
